St. Francis of Assisi Relief *NEW RELEASE*

St. Francis was born in Assisi, Italy to a wealthy silk merchant in 1181. He was the founder of the Franciscan orders of the Friars Minor, the Poor Clares and the lay Third Order. He received Christ stigmata two years before his death in 1226. He is the patron saint of poor people, animals and Italy.

This 4 ½" high wood relief is hand sculpted by the artisan in Val Gardena in Italy.
